The short answer is: no.

The Netherlands already has an abundance of real estate agents and housing corporations, and the last need is an additional real estate agent. This is how you arrange a viewing:

  1. Click on the link in your home alert; as an employee you will be redirected directly to the landlord’s website.
  2. See how you can respond there. This varies per website: sometimes you can easily respond via email or a contact form, and in other cases you must first create an account. Send your response (make it personal and enthusiastic!) directly to the landlord.
  3. Respond quickly, so that your message ends up at the top of the pile. Tip: Create an account with landlords who request it, so that you can respond very quickly as soon as a home becomes available.

Finding and renting a home as an employee

We get it: in today’s market, finding a rental property feels like an almost impossible task. House hunters are queuing up, and landlords often only choose from the first responses. If you miss the boat, a viewing is often no longer possible.

Fortunately, Renthomy is there to give you a head start. Where traditional real estate agents manually scour the listings, Renthomy uses smart search bots. Account employees

There are several reasons why you may not be receiving property matches:

  1. Check your spam box: Our emails may end up in your spam box. To prevent this, add us to your list of trusted senders.
  2. Specific search: If you are searching for a property on a budget in a popular city, it may take some time before you see results. Consider broadening your search criteria. You can easily adjust this via your account.
  3. Weekend: Most new properties are posted during the week, between 9:00 and 18:00. During the weekend, the number of matches may be limited.
  4. Incorrect contact details: Check that your telephone number and email address are correct. You can adjust these details via your account settings. Go to ‘My Renthomy’, log in and click on ‘Settings’. Please note: you can only change your contact details once.
